About ous!
Together with my Husband Gregor and our kids, we decided to add another dog to our household, that, back then, encompassed two cat ladies Zoe & Lilo and an elderly Sheltie-Mix lady called Poca.
We came up with a decision quite fast: it had to be a Bernese Mountain Dog!
After thorough consideration, whether or not a Bernese Mountain Dog would be the ideal new family member, it was clear for us, that we definitely wanted to get one, but, of course, from a reputable breeder.
Said and done…!
Via the website http://www.vssoe.at/ (Union for Bernese Mountain Dogs) we learned about the breeding station “Vom Bachgrund” and after a long talk with Elisabeth we were confident to have found the right breeder. Waiting for the next litter had begun…
Rhapsodie von Rummelsbach & Carlo vom Ilzbach were the parents to be of Iggy (short for Indigo). We met our “bear” for the first time, when he was 3 weeks old and again in week 5…each time, we would have loved to take him with us straight away as he seemed to like us too, but we had to be patient until week 9.
Finally, end of july 2017, we went to pick him up and ever since, he has been the best companion!
A year later, a message by Iggy’s breeder arrived, asking, if we could take Inka, Iggy’s sister as well, as the breeder had to move and give up the kennel.
We decided for the two dogs to meet up to find out if they would do well with one another. So, Inka came to visit us and, without further ado, was allowed to stay.
From that day onwoards, they have been a really good team!
Together with Inka’s adoption, we started to think about starting a breeding kennel for Bernese Mountain Dogs as well. Breeders and lovers of Bernese Mountain Dogs amongst our friends helped us prepare for the licensing of Inka and Iggy.
From the show, X-rays & venipunctures up to the examination for breed certificate: our two bears mastered everything with excellence!
Beginning of September 2019, we received our breeding certificate. Time to wait now for Inka’s next heat because: the future baby papa of our puppies had already been selected!
By the way: For reasons of GDPR, we don’t show photos of our kids.
Our philosophy
Our puppies grow up in the very same household, together with us, from their very first day.
They get to know cats, kids and all kinds of daily sounds & situations.
They can be adopted from week 9 onwoards, of course, registered & vaccinated, with an EU passport & pedigree papers.
Many thanks
